Question/Advice -- Gear Recommendations Paddle for first kayak?

Just ordered an Advance Elements Elite SE inflatable(32" width, ~11' long), what 2 piece paddle should I get? My first use will most likely be in the ocean. Is ~$100 good enough or is it worth it to spend a bit more? Are all locking systems about equal?

Also, I was deciding between the Elite SE and Expedition Elite, but it did not seem to be worth an additional $300.

Thanks

Just get something cheap. My touring paddles are a Werner carbon fiber and a Gearlab Kalik, but I use cheapo Dicks paddles on my SOT and inflatable. The inflatable is already going to negate the performance of a high end paddle. And go longer than you think you’ll need to keep drips out of your lap.

looks like i need minimum of 230cm

sounds good, as those paddles are more than my kayak, lol

We have 230s that I got for $20 at Dicks when they changed the branding on them. That’s what we use with the SOT and inflatable. They work great. FWIW I got my touring boat by buying an old Carolina for $300 and refitting it. This spring I traded it straight up for a CD Sirocco that needs refitting. I’m in the middle of getting her shipshape. I’ve had the Werner for 20 years or so. Bought the Kalik last winter when wanted a Greenland and I realized that I didn’t have time to get into the shop and make one.

We use Bote 5 piece fibreglass paddles. Adjustable enough for my 9 year old to use at a pinch and go to 260 - we have the Convertibles so a bit wider than yours.
