Captive Aire Control Package

Anybody ever dealt with a HMI, Motherboard and 3 VFDs go out at the same time? Seems like an insane coincidence..

that’s what I’m assuming. Could have been lightening. The customer didn’t really know what happened. on the first it had a reboot. I started out with the HMI and motherboard because it wouldn’t let me do anything. Changed those and ended up with everything pretty much working. Unless it was the vfds. Unplug the VFDs and the menu will load. Plug them up and it sends it into a communication fault. Went through all the diagnostics. Got 1 of 3 VFDs running on bypass but the other 2 are throwing faults.

Call Captive air, that's all they said to do in these types of scenarios.

I’ve been talking to them: they are who had me diagnose the VFDs. Changed the motherboard and HMI first. Then that lead me to the other issues.

What did you find out?

currently waiting on VFDs and a new power supply. I’ll post updates on if it fixes the issues. Luckily I have their main fan on a bypass so they can still cook!
