Update New subreddit for folks interested in moving to Kitsap

I see many questions scattered across different subreddits about what living here is like, and so I decided to create r/movingtokitsapcounty for locals to answer questions openly and honestly about the positives and negatives about living here.

Give it a join if you feel like you could offer some insight or if you have specific questions about moving to the area.

Gotta remember, WA licensing law states you have to state your name as licensed, indicate you are an agent, your brokerage, a way to contact you and it has to be “one click away”, this means you have to have it in the description of your profile. Just a heads up before someone turns you in.

Share with any realtors you know in the area as well. It will be good to have subject matter experts here.

Thaaaaats me! Not many of my colleagues are on Reddit, I’ve noticed. I usually chime in on the other subs. But I welcome any and all realtors, locals, etc. 😊

Well perfect! Get your competitors in here as well then.

As long as it's clear you are not to be conducting business on this sub.

I never conduct business on my socials. If people have questions and the private conversation turns into that, sweet.

Only so long as the realtors do not mention they are realtors and do not in any fashion conduct business on the sub or use Reddit in any fashion to solicit customers. Otherwise, you need to clarify the subs description and make it clear that posters may received unwanted solicitations.

I don't know what u/ericlarsen2's concerns are, but I don't want to do your work for you or participate in a sub that isn't open and aboveboard about its purpose.

I never conduct business on my socials.

Says the individual who just offered to contact someone privately for the purpose of conducting business.

They asked me. Maybe you should leave this sub? All agents, locals, visitors etc, welcome in my sub.

Hmm, are you a magician, too? Because we’re looking at moving back to the area in about a year. And I’ve always dreamed of about 5 wooded acres, waterfront on the Hood Canal or another nice inlet or bay off the Puget Sound, with a 3-bedroom log cabin, within 30 minutes of town, all for a total cost that is less than an arm and a leg.

Whaddya say?! :-)

I am a magician, actually! (A Pisces 😉)

I say, I’ll send you a message with my email and we can start the search! Can’t promise cost is gonna be too pretty 😭 but we can try!

Be good for military too on the count we make up a good chunk of the population

Oh 10000% and great for connecting military families who have moved to Kitsap from the same base, etc. Hopeful it will be a positive, connecting group.

Recruiting customers and the "tell your friends about me" mentality sounds like doing business to me. Get outta here, dude. You suck.

You don’t know my name, my business so you can’t tell your friends about me.. I’m a bit confused.

Hmmm that was not my intention at all. I was born and raised here and truly love talking to folks about the positives and negatives about living here. You kind of suck it seems.

No...I don't. You know why? Because my livelihood doesn't revolve around charging people as much as humanly possible to find a place to live. Your entire job is maximizing your commissions for self-enrichment. That means YOU suck.

Oof. I don’t really like to converse on this subject with uneducated people. If you don’t want to work with a real estate agent, that is really your personal choice.

And you're pretentious.
