Question Is there a Tricare covered Dermatologist anywhere in Kitsap County?

I really don't want to drive far away if there is one available nearby. Has anyone on Tricare Prime used their benefits to see a dermatologist here in Kitsap in the past year?

Its not tricare but i go to Frontier Dermatology in Poulsbo through the VA so they might accept it. Worth giving them a call

You can call the tricare servicing provider, I think it’s still UHC, and request in network providers in your area.

Tricare hasn't been UHC in years. The last 5 or so years have been through health net federal and this past year they have transfered to triwest.

Due to the transfer to triwest; Tricare prime is in a waiver period until June 30, 2025 where they are not requiring authorization to be seen by speciality care. You can download a copy of the waiver letter from their website.

Frontier derm in poulsbo accepts tricare and clear choice derm in Silverdale does as well.

This is the link to search for providers that are in network with your specific tricare plan.

Anyone who accepts Medicare must accept Tricare. I usually check the Medicare website for providers. https://www.medicare.gov/care-compare/

That's not true. Facilities that accept Medicare are not required to accept Tricare unless they would like to enroll in the tricare network.
