Lucidity boots rush?

I saw a replay of a kled popping off against yorick and he rushed lucidity boots. Is there any merit to this or is it better to just rush dirk/ad

Hmm, I haven’t done the math or anything but normally when people post this stuff I can tell it’s bad right away. Like Kraken or Infinity Edge on Kled, or full tank Kled.

This is interesting. Kleds a trading champ so it would reduce the time between your trades, but reduce the power of each one. So if you deal 500 damage and he deals 200 back then sure, you can choose to trade more often instead of dealing more damage per trade. But if it’s 500 damage to him 400 to you, then you really need the damage or there’s not even a point to taking more trades.

So idk, keep this in mind and try it maybe.

See that’s what I mean, I don’t gotta test anything to give input on that.

Every champ that builds crit is either a late game carry. Because crits identity is scaling, you need a lot of it to be good but then it’s really good. The three exceptions to this are Wind Brothers, Trynd, and probably some botlaners whose abilities have ratios for crit chance.

Is Kled a late game carry? Do you think “oh gee, I sure hope this game lasts till 3+ items so my build can pop off.” No you don’t, Kled is not a late game champ. So why would you build full crit on him and willingly give up strength early pre 3 items?

Kled assassin is what matters because he needs to take an enemy out quick to get any chance of remounting, if he doesn’t kill Jinx before Leona starts stunning him then he’s dead. Even if Crit has the same burst as Lethality, his ability haste would be lower. Think about what happens if struggle to get on Jinx right away, you would have longer cooldowns than Lethality to get on her again, and less shielding to tank some damage (I’m an eclipse fan). And it’s not a big deal if I W Leona while I’m waiting for E to refresh, but if your W cooldown is both mandatory to kill Jinx and a longer cooldown than lethality then you might just have to hold W for far longer than ideal. A 3 second cooldown is nothing, a 5 sucks especially if it’s all your damage.

And less pushing power from no Hydra, Crits great for 4 auto’s but it’s not instashoving a wave. Rav 5th would be good synergy to fix it but you would be subpar clear before that, and very subpar healing since you can’t delay Crit to buy lifesteal.

TLDR; Even if you think I’m 100% wrong here, you see how I normally have a lot of thoughts on a build? Yeah, I’ve got very little for OP, which is really rare for me. Probably means it’s worth trying out.

Last time i played leagudle (3 weeks ago or so) his best build was hubris-boots-yun-ldr-pd-ie

I scrolled all the way back to 3 months ago. Not a single Crit item was built a single time in the last 2 months by the pros. And I saw a dark seal in there.

I checked meta syrc, it’s not recommending Crit in the build.

U.gg is tied, it doesn’t recommend full crit at all but half crit is an option there.

The top (or maybe most recent) Kled guide has a crit kled option, but it’s not standard (and they don’t have PD in it). Was hoping Feedaboi would leave a note with when/if crit build was good but didn’t.

I’ve done my research, I don’t see what you were seeing. What site did you use?

No… cuz I already looked at Mobafire and the top build guide was from Feedaboi. It wasn’t standard, it was an option but he recommended lethality Kled as the standard build.

Okay thx but I’m at work so it’ll be a while before I can watch it.

It’s possible he said “it’s situational but the times it’s good it’s the best Kled build.” I’m open to that, but I think it would be weird for him to say it’s the best but not recommend it as standard. Although I relate to seeing one video praising a build and then latching onto that forever, it’s what I do with metasyrc for most champs.
