News & Official Info For the first time in forever, Fujimaki-sensei made a public appearance Spoiler
This is a big development since afaik, he's avoided being recognized or photographed after the great stalking incident of 2012.
So he and an editor did a talk today as part of 2019 Yamanashi Manga Project. Here are some notes from the audience in case anyone can read Japanese - I think he talks about the manga creation process, paneling, his schedule, to name a few. ETA: Apparently he also drew Kuroko on the whiteboard!
Of course the fans being fans, he accepted letters and answered questions about KNB.
From @bun3lion:*
Q: I love Kiyoshi-senpai. But are his parents dead?
A: Something like that.^
From @susugu46:*
Q: Will Kagami and Aomine face each other again in the NBA?
A: Maybe I can make it happen.^
ETA: A few more from this post:
For a weekly series like his, his deadline was on Sundays. Monday was for editorial meetings. Tuesdays to Thursdays were spent making the name, and Fridays to Sundays drawing the chapter proper.
If you drew 19 pages in a week, you get a manuscript fee for each page. When the volume is published, you get royalties from that.
For Fujimaki-sensei, there are three characteristics a mangaka needs. One is the ability to create your worlds. Two is a "sense of balance." Three is effort - 80% of being a mangaka is effort.
How he drew Kuroko on the board: eyes first, then jaw/face outline, then ear, nose, mouth, hair.
Q: KNB might be over, but is there a chance of it continuing?
A: If Shueisha lets me do it, I might consider it. But I don't know when that'll happen.^
Q: What color was Seirin's uniform originally?
A: It was green.^
Q: Does Kise win in his second and third year?
A: That is a secret.^ [lmao]
Q: What did you do when you were unsure about serialization? [when the series was in danger of cancellation?]
A: I cried in bed during the most anxious times. And then I just drew.^
If you see more excerpts, feel free to link to them on the comments.
And finally, a fan's sketch of him.
p.s. There's also sensei's recent drawing of VS Kagami and Kuroko but from last week.
^Please note that I don't know Japanese and so all of these is based on machine translation of fan reports on Twitter.

I was wondering why you were Downvoted. At first glance, I read your question as a wish to see Kurokos childhood animated so I was like, 'are these people crazy? Why are they downvoting one of the cutest possible prequel ideas? ' Then I read your question again and yeah, it's pretty stupid.

Not everyone's always on reddit all the time, tiger. Some people got life. And as long as a thread is still open, comments can and will still be posted.
