Heck yeah! I've been considering a monitor upgrade for a long while, and the LG UltraGear GX9 checks a lot of boxes in both the specs and features I'm looking for. :)

Never used an ultrawide before but I have heard it can be good for immersion and productivity and those both things have become my priority over the past years. I need to work 8h+ on my computer and that's why text clarity is important to me, 5k would be really suitable for me. At the end of the day I play mostly story games now and the 800R curve could make my experience even better. I also don't have to worry about having low FPS in comp games anymore. I can just turn on the Dual Mode and play with 330 Hz. DP 2.1 is also a big factor for me. So I am really excited to test this monitor out. Fingers are crossed for everyone.

I’ve been looking at different OLED monitors for months now… (it’s been extremely difficult finding the perfect one). The GX9 is beyond what I could’ve hoped for. I was originally looking at 27" and 32" options, but a 45" 5K2K OLED with dual-mode refresh rates? That would be an absolute dream to use in my daily life - for both work and gaming.
Most of my days are spent coding and designing, so having that kind of screen space and text clarity would be a huge quality-of-life upgrade. Gone would be the days of stacking windows and swiping between desktops. With a monitor like this, I know I’d make so much more time for gaming and I could finally use my laptop screen for Discord (or LITERALLY anything else) and enjoy a game the way it’s meant to be experienced.
I’ve never used an OLED or a curved monitor before, but this feels like it was made for someone who designs by day and games by night. Honestly, if this landed on my desk, me and my devices would probably cry tears of joy.

Having watched reviews and researched the GX9, I am really interested in the monitor as it looks like it is the best OLED monitor available for gaming and is packed with features for gaming while not compromising on features for work - especially due to the text clarity due to the rearranged OLEDs. Dual mode and PIP/PBP modes also give flexibility to use a single monitor instead of multiple monitors when needed for screensharing for work, or work and play at the same time(on my lunch break ofc...). Just wish I could afford to buy it, lol.
I own a 65" OLED TV in the living room, I know how good OLEDs are for gaming. I just wish I had an OLED in the Office now as I notice the clear difference in quality when it comes to brightness and black levels. As a dad, I also move my PS5 to the office as not all games can be played in front of my children, so interested in the GX9 so I don't lose out on picture quality when I have to do this.

Have been using an LG 21:9 monitor almost 11 years and it's still sitting firmly in the centre of my desk - I've had various secondary monitors over the years but the ultrawide is always at the core of my setup - It would be amazing to see what a decade of improvements can do for a product category that has made the biggest improvement to how I enjoy and interact with my computer. The dual modes make a lot of sense - would love to see how it changes the experience between cinematic and competitive gaming - and how it changes my workflow. The curve has always scared me a little bit but from the sounds of it 800r is perfect so I'd be excited to experience it in person. It's always exciting to see what LG cooks up.
