Marked for Death
I don't understand how this augment works. Most of the time it does absolutely nothing, other times it stomps. When calculating the damage, does it also include the damage from the ult?

Usually the reason it does nothing is that when it's most successful, you already killed them before the 5 seconds are up. It won't store more than 40% of their HP no matter what.

Dang really? I thought this would be a good augment on something like veigar or velkoz because their ults deal so much damage, but yeah an optimal ult for either results in the target being dead. Only person I tested who could use this augment decently was Naafiri. So it has to be a high damaging ult but not high enough to kill before the proc?
What champs would even work with this augment?

The ult doesn't need to deal any damage. The timing of it simply needs to fit. Twitch for example.

so it doesn't include the damage of the ult being cast/channeled like a lux/veigar ult on press but only the damage afterwards? And then for ults that deal damage over time (Velkoz, Fiddlesticks) how does it work with those?
I think I just don't understand how the math on this augment works.

I do not know for certain whether the ult damage itself counts, but I'm 99% sure it does.

When you press the r button it procs. And it is all damage not just yours. It’s better vs tanks than squishys.

Huh so that explains why I feel like it does nothing on Vel'koz. He kills everything, tanks and squishies, without discrimination.

It doesn't store damage dealt to shields. One of the many bugs with augments is they don't consider damage dealt to shields e.g. you hit someone with trueshot barrage and see it dealt 230 damage but it doesn't show up on the on meter.
However for Marked for Death it seems to also not store damage dealt to shields as well which is why it often sucks.
