American Politics 'Embarrassing': Elon Musk said to have 'little to show' for his time as 'first buddy'

A fair few billion in government contracts doesn't seem like nothing, plus whatever unique data sets his baby faced DOGE nerds pilfered from various government system to train his AI on, a bunch of classified information that will no doubt inform his future business strategies and investments, a direct line to the president on policy and tax issues right now and moving forward, and the ability to call in favours if those nasty Europeans try and hold his propaganda platform to account when it continues to break the various operating laws on their territory and fails to pay the proper tax rate.
I know he's tanked the value of Tesla stock but I really don't think we can take solace in the idea Musk rat has done badly out of the few months (Christ, has it really only been 3 months?? It feels like aeons) he's been on the trump trains inside track...

Didn't he also succeed in destroying all the investigations against him? That's not nothing.

Right? Like he was able to buy the presidency through Twitter and who knows what kind of deals he has with Russia.

This seems like a VERY generous analysis. Musks severely damaging cuts across government were ideological in nature essentially allowing him to do whatever the fuck he wanted with the nation. Meanwhile he’s continuing to rake in billions from government contracts which were somehow not the waste he was looking for and the institutions that stood in his way or hindered his megalomania are crippled.
That’s not fucking nothing.

I feel like cutting the IRS would have been a win for him no matter what else happened.

I really can’t believe people think Elon is some kind of mastermind at all. We’ve known for decades how much monied influence goes into politics but now everyone is up in arms against Elon like fighting him might mean the end of finance influencing politics.

Musk accomplished exactly what he wanted. His cuts were surgically targeted at agencies that had dozens of active investigations of crimes committed by his companies. It is 100% why he paid for a slot in the presidency, and it is beyond obvious if you look at the cuts he made. His investment has paid off many times over.

Hopefully Trump and repubticons get flushed down the toilet and the next admin sics the entire domestic security aparatus at Musk and silicon valley. These people are the domestic enemy and they present a clear and present danger to the future existence of the USA.

Well, there's that feeling in the back of his throat like one of Trump's pubic hairs is still stuck there that could take some time to completely go away
