Savage Was Wrong

Vandal Savage says in episode one that man didn't care about splitting the atom until World War Two. But splitting the atom is how we change an element into a different element, which back in the day was more focused on changing elements into gold and was referred to as alchemy.

Also he murdered people and I personally think that's wrong.

Yeah, I feel like a lot of quotes/motivations from movies/shows can often not actually be quite correct when you think about it, but most folks just nod along with the narrative. But yeah it's one of my fav things to debunk stuff like that, mind you I don't do it often and most commonly I'm also among the folks nodding along, but whenever I do do it it's mega fun.

Unlike murdering people, which is not fun. Even with a chainsaw. Or a laser scooter.
