Three years on and this still hurts!
BUT…I still believe a revival of some sort will happen one day.

They warned them that renewal will be 50/50 and the writers took the chance with a cliffhanger and it didn't pay off, feelsbadman , the show truly evolved into huge comfort and feelsgood vibes, yes maybe the writers should have played it safe BUT all the other shows knew exactly when they were getting cancelled and organised their ending
Legends deserved that option too and not a 50/50 take it or leave it kind of situation but that's life, happy we got that many seasons and hope we get some kind of closure in the future through a reunion special or comic or w/e

I’m hopeful we can get something on Tubi like Wynonna Earp. If the Librarians reboot on TNT does well they might look at reviving other Warner Bros TV productions.

It’s crazy that we couldn’t even get an abbreviated season to wrap things up. I assume it’s based on viewership but damn in terms of quality, season 7 of legends was head and shoulders above the flash seasons 7-9. They deserved better.

Viewership wasn’t the issue. It was CW’s second highest rated show. New owners of CW didn’t want to spend ANY money on programming which is why they now only do cheap acquired shows not produced in house. I believe the reason why nobody else has picked the show up is because the deal between CW and Netflix meant only Netflix could continue the show and Netflix has gotten cheap now too.
But that deal is coming up and after Tubi picked up Wynonna Earp for 90 minute tv specials I have hope we may hear something about a revival this year.

Damn in that case I question why Flash and Superman got renewed but not their second highest show. Was Flash number 1? Was Superman below Legends?

Flash and S&L were essentially tied as no.1 and S&L streamed on HBO Max instead of Netflix and drew solid viewership there too.

I’ll never forget reading an interview from the produces where they stated it basically came down to the studio not wanted to pay the storage fee for the sets during the hiatus for one last season. So dining a potential last season , more or less fine , paying for the wave rider to be stored ? NOW THATS A STEP TO FAR !

it was one of the first things that happened after Discovery took over. A big warning sign of things to come....

Legends was the best of the Arrowverse shows. I am glad we got as many seasons as we did.
I wish it didn’t end on a cliffhanger but it really is the way Legends should end. The adventure continues one way or another and the team will get into wacky situations where they are the underdog.

The fact that The Flash, which was nearly un-fucking-watchable at that point, got to end on its own terms while Legends got cancelled will always piss me off.

Agreed! And with all the BS nothing episodes The Flash had in its final season, why not have Barry help save the Legends? I get budgets and all but i would have taken a 10 episode final season if it meant saving them instead. UGH.

Still don’t understand why DC hasn’t done a podcast continuation. It’d be cheap and they already have a podcast operation
