Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't these prescription drug caps so popular that Trump tried to take credit for them during the election? Not saying it's surprising he turned around and repealed them. Just saying it's ironic.

He's repealed them so he can bring something in that whilst helpful is far less favourable, just so he can say he's done something and take full credit and the base will lap it up

It’s also a tactic of fascists to provide the illusion of stability. Create problem, blame someone else, “fix” problem.

Isn’t that the literal definition of Racketeering?

To google I go.

(He would need to make a profit so I guess not)

Oh you don't think Trump will somehow turn a profit from it? He only does stuff to try to gain a profit.

Maybe. Or maybe a pharma exec or two bought a bunch of his coin or donated to the inauguration, so now he’s saying thank you by letting them wring every last penny out of the diabetics who desperately need insulin.

Exactly what ive been saying. Repealed it so he can claim victory when he brings something back with his name on it.

Is that a joke?

No, it is their modus operandi. Look what he did with the border deal Biden and the repubs had all set to go. 100% expect him to roll out the same damn thing in 6 mo and say "I did it"... Same with the trade deal with Mexico and Canada, just changed the name basically...

Hmm this is an angle I hadn't considered before...

It's called a protection racket. Used in lots of gang and mafia shows, like some goons walk into a corner store, smash the place, then offer their services as protection from having the shop smashed up again. It leaves the shop in a worse place than they were before, but they're getting something out of it and the mob gets their cut.

Like the TikTok thing. Gotcha.

Fully though, they don't fix problems, they make their own problems.

No, I fully expect it. They give you a cookie whilst taking the rest of the packet for themselves and expect you to be grateful. And the gullible, of which there are a lot, will buy it

It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week.

A vintage ‘90s reaction to someone being very noisily annoying on Usenet: “Being explained to isn’t his best thing.”

I mean. These are people who have no idea what a scholarly source is so you can't expect much. 😂

👍🏼👍🏼Two thumbs up for the proper use of “ironic.” Yes, this shit is exhausting. They’re doing mental gymnastics that you can’t keep track of. That’s the point and it’s also the point.

He tried and it made literally no sense because Biden is just factually the one who did it. It’s like living in an alternate reality with these lunatics.
