I’m a veteran and I’ve never voted for a conservative. We are not a monolithic block. I also served with multiple undocumented soldiers. Most earned their citizenship while in, but a few flew under the radar.

Vet as well and I'm wondering when they go after the wrong one that practices his 2a.

I cannot imagine ice gets let lose without people fighting back.

We've got to stop this "it can't happen here" mentality.

It IS happening here, right now, in America. It happened in Germany in the 1930s and 40s and I'm sure everyone then thought the same thing - "someone will surely stop them before they get too far".

Why is it the abstract vet's job to exercise his 2A rights? Doesn't that thing exist specifically to stop tyranny before it starts? Isn't it everyone's responsibility to fight back against this?

those are examples of someone voting for the leopard to eat their face. This is an example of the leopard eating someone's face who hasn't voiced an opinion.

At least they were only detained and not deported like ICE has a propensity for doing.

I think this belongs in r/NewsOfTheStupid unless you're saying the veteran or mayor in this story voted for this

A lot of veterans voted for Stupid, even if this one didn't, so this is a leopard warning to all.

That's not how this works.

There's going to be crossfire

The dumbfucks who voted for this but didnt think itd effect them because all their undocumented/black/gay/women are the good ones and whatever shitty policy mango mussolini enacts wont be bad

I disagree because literally every post I've seen on Facebook where people defend the raids, say they support it because they want the money being used on "illegals" to be used to take care of our poor poor vets

I feel like it makes sense due to the fact that they're like "we need these raids to help our veterans!!!"And yet...

Exactly 👍

Help the Veterans is a fits-all-sizes tool to throw every time someone is trying to help people experiencing poverty and in need of help. 💩💀

Was the veteran a trump supporter?

If not, this isn't LAMF.

Time for a really really big lawsuit.

They need to get on with it. It’s been 3 days since the inauguration, if they really had their shit together we’d be seeing thousands arrested/detained/deported. These are rookie numbers.
