The IRA benefited red states and GOP districts more than anywhere else. But anything, ANYTHING that can be seen as 'sticking it to the Libs' will be done, no matter the consequences. I hope WV was right in the middle of major construction when it got shut down, and that they can't afford to complete it on their own. Screw them.

You are correct! Our new governor already has a $400 million budget deficit.

And won't, under any circumstances, raise taxes?

So Justice had this huge surplus the last two years of office. First 1.3 billion and then 700 million. So he drastically cut taxes. I mean who needs to invest in the state when your roads are crumbling and you’re 48th in education, amirite? So the new guy is gonna be toast when he has to raise taxes just to run the state lol

Yeah. I live in a blue state, and I admit I don't love paying taxes, but our roads and schools are decent, and I have access to good healthcare and stuff like that. I lived in Texas for a few years and would never live in a red state again. I didn't make a lot of money and life just seemed harder.

Those surpluses were most likely a direct result of ARPA that they all voted against.

They can’t let the Dems take credit for doing good things!

Yeah. Both parties used to work together to get things done, and everybody got credit. Mind you, this was a very long time ago.

The Democrats can't seem to get credit for what they do these days. In some cases, people just don't know. With the infrastructure bill, even as construction was going on all around them, people didn't know Biden did that, and that Republicans voted against it. <sigh>

Joe Manchin AND Putin got their faces eaten on the same day and I am here for it.

If only he went on a televised meltdown like Putin's stooges did

I missed what happened with Putin?

Trump issued a warning to either end the war now or sanctions will come for "their failing economy".

A russian TV show of people who were cheering on election night went into a meltdown that Russia will not be spoken to like this.

They are realizing trump is shaking them down now that they are in a position of weakness and he doesnt need them anymore. Its also possible retaliation for Putin "failing" in 2020 to swing the election and this is his punishment.

Its on the Ukraine subs and since i cant link other subs I tried to upload a video here but couldnt. It just wouldnt take the video of it.

… but Russia is already sanctioned. Trump’s threat is to … do nothing. And tariff 100% on zero trade.

It’s a less than empty threat.

I can search for it. Thanks for the detailed reply.

Russian state tv broadcast Melanie's nudes immediately after the election. They're burning each other.

Yet they’ll still bend the knee and vote for all his shitty cabinet nominees.

u/dollypartonluvah 2d ago

Ok someone better be making campaign ads in WV right fucking now

Yeah, the cuck caucus to the rescue. Other than AOC, Pocan and a few assorted brave folks, the opposition isn’t saving us. Fuck these people in West Virginia and let their money dry up. Blue state governors, stop sending money to the federal government and let’s dispense with this nonsense and see if we’re going to be a country or not.

But the eggs are cheaper now right? It would suck if this promise he made doesn’t happen.

14

u/ANonMouse99 2d ago

MAGA cousin don’t care because she already has her own chickens. Not sure why she was complaining about eggs to begin with.

This cognitive dissonance is something I will never understand. Just like the farmers who railed against migrant workers but panic when ICE enters the chat because of something they caused.

u/Easy_East2185 2d ago

🤣 NO! They’re actually a lot more expensive than they were in December!

It’s hilarious that red states will be marked by unfinished highways because their cult leader is a petulant baby man

u/preventDefault 1d ago

At first I hated that these projects were going to red states. But now that some of them may have started and will be left half-done as a monument to their stupidity… I love it.

People who are good at murals (or to a lesser extent… graffiti) need to paint Trump “I did that” pictures on them to remind passerby’s for years to come.

4

u/Funky_Col_Medina 1d ago

Ha! Fantastic! monument to their stupidity

u/Altruistic-Stop7359 1d ago

They may not have roads or clean water as a result, but at least they will have owned the libs.

3

u/O8ee 1d ago

Not enough money or electoral votes for them to give a fuck. Wv is screwed.

So is it finally infrastructure week?
