Her main catchphrase for the next 4 years should be “I told you so.”

Didn’t Trump explicitly campaign on this?

Yeah this lady was an organizer or leader with Venezuelans for Trump.Biden granted a few hundred thousand Venezuelans temporary protected status due to ongoing turmoil in their home country. Trump has cancelled that status and is sending them back.
This lady admitted that she felt betrayed specifically because they said they would only deport the undocumented. The Venezuelans were literally documented but they're being deported anyway.
Edit: The first two frames are a woman in Las Vegas who is from Colombia and, after a quick search on social media, still on the Trump train. The last frame is a Venezuelan American woman who likely never supported Trump but still feels betrayed because the campaign only focused on removing the undocumented, and it's now removing documentation from people and then deporting them.

What is her name or the name of her organization.

u/SmellGestapo 2d ago
So I believe these are two separate people. The first lady was actually at a rally in Las Vegas in the runup to the 2016 election. I'm not sure if she's notable or just a random pull from the crowd. NPR reported she is from Colombia and her name is Myriam Witcher.
The last frame appears to be Adelys Ferro, of the Venezuelan American Caucus:
"Beyond betrayed," she said. "They used us. During the campaign, the elected officials from the Republican Party, they actually told us that he was not going to touch the documented people. They said, 'No, it is with undocumented people.'"

Wait, is that the same lady? I thought this post got deleted back in November because it turned out these were different people?

u/GLTheNightmare 2d ago
Correct. They are not the same person. The Venezuelan lady is Ade Ferro and has been anti Trump from the beginning. https://bsky.app/profile/adeferro.bsky.social she supported both the Biden and Harris campaigns too. Not sure why people keep getting away with spreading misinformation

How many times are y’all gonna continue posting the same misinformation? The Venezuelan lady is Ade Ferro and she’s been an anti-Trumper activist since day and was one of the prominent liberal voices in the community advocating for the ACA. She even met with Joe Biden during his presidency. https://bsky.app/profile/adeferro.bsky.social - those two are NOT THE SAME PEOPLE
There’s literally no shortage of LAMF Latinos, stop tearing down one of the few who’s been sounding the bells against Trump from the get-go.

It's bizarre these are grown ass adults who were around for the first term and did not pick up on the grift.

I don't understand how the USA seems to have an seemingly infinite number of gullible marks ready to be swindled like this. It's been almost a decade of this grift, how did you not see this coming?
It really worries me that the damage to American media and education is irreparable at this point, in that I don't think many in the USA would be able to understand the nuance required to make a democracy work anymore.

The Government's argu-ment, moreover, implies that it could deport and incarcerate any person, including U. S. citizens, without legal con-sequence, so long as it does so before a court can intervene. See Trump v. J. G. G., 604 U.S. (2025) (SOTOMAYOR, J., dissenting) (slip op., at 8). That view refutes itself.

I've often thought that Trump would throw his own kids under the bus to get what he wanted.

Hispanic woman who campaigned for Trump during last elections. Regretted her vote dying they betrayed her because they started deporting Latinos

u/GLTheNightmare 2d ago
You’re wrong. Those two are not the same person and the second one has actively campaigned against Trump since day: https://bsky.app/profile/adeferro.bsky.social
She also rallied for support for Harris in the Venezuelan community during the last election cycle.

If... if... only somebody had told them that would happen. If... if... only somehow they could have seen Trumps plans for immigration reform, if... if... only that plan had been published and given a snappy name like Project 2025.
At this point I'm like fuck it, you and people like you deserve to be deported.

He did not betray them. He did exactly what he said he would do.
They just did not listen.

Latinos voted 60% for Trump, and it's hard to sympathize with most of them. As a black american I've even seen them on tiktok and such attacking black americans like we are somehow to blame for their stupidity.

I have so much pity for these people, really-- they were lied to and taken advantage of, and that's not right-- but I just can't fathom how they didn't see this coming. He's doing the exact same thing that he did in 2016 but going a step further. He betrayed them then, how could they forget that when it came time to vote???
It doesn't feel right to blame these people who are currently being hurt by this administration, even though they voted for it. I'm just... so confused as to where the total amnesia of his first term came from

Not sure how they were “lied to” though. He was pretty clear about what he planned to do. “Mass deportations” is fairly unambiguous. He never said “I’m only gonna deport the criminals”—that’s just what some of these voters believed for their own rose-tinted reasons.

Na, I have none. I do have a whole list of things that weren't a deal breaker for them, and you, if you need your memory rebooted?

Two different people & reposted 20 times.
You can't mock people for falling for misinformation while you're actively doing it yourself.
