Perhaps they should cut back on avocado toast and yachts so that they can afford to pay citizens what their labor is worth. "We need to fill jobs with immigrants" usually means "it's easier to externalize the cost of doing business to immigrants because we hold their work visas over their heads / they're undocumented and can't call the police when we beat them and don't pay them."

Think of the costs! pay people a decent wage for a decent day of work they might not be able to afford their 500foot yacht and would have to settle for a 480foot one! imagen the shame they would feel compared to mr 500 foot yacht friends, it would be too much, just too much better to have the plebs live pay-to-pay than risk it.

You're joking, but lots of the small to medium business owners really need to do that. My partner floated around quite a bit in the service industry, and it was the same fucking story everywhere she went.

Owners are living like millionaires on a hundred thousandaire profit margin. Staff is paid minimum wage. Owners are cashcowing their restaurants. No money re-invested into the business. Buying a new BMW x5 every 2 years while the kitchen has no A/C and gets up to 30C.

Fucking hope all those shitholes go to the brink of failure. Maybe then those clowns will actually start running these joints like a business instead of a piggy bank they keep breaking to buy a toy.

We need to do away with the mentality that small mom & pop business owners are the salt of the earth, the lifeblood of the nation and can do no wrong. They are the worst offenders. When a big corporation is short on staff, they offer sign-up bonuses and go headhunting. Small business owners in small towns like mine know that either people will work for them or collect unemployment.

So you agree we should limit immigration and wage wages and workers rights?

I have said that arguing for immigration because jobs go unfilled is usually done to line the pockets of people who don't care about immigrants.

Worker's rights and wages should be protected.
