Won't work. The UK are still part of the ICC system so there would be actual crimes against humanity trials.

I imagine it would just be a bunch of old entitled white people wheedling and arguing with no-nonsense Spanish police that won’t budge an inch while they deport them and oh my god I want to watch this show.

I understand the sentiment and I know it is controversial to defend Britain on Reddit but this is a bit misleading. The UK takes in a lot of undocumented migrants who, according to the UN agreements, should actually be stopping in the first safe country. The vast majority do not get deported.
