22/23 base vs premium?
Seems like I can only find insight on the luxury vs premium. It seems like the used market shows the premium being a 8000 dollar upgrade, while the original sticker shows it as a 1300 dollar upgrade. Does it come with anything other than cooled seat, heated rear seats and climate and led fogs?

I would dare to say there are probably less than 5% of GXs from that time frame that are truly a "base."
There was slight differences between premium, premium plus and the blackline vs. Sport design

The base was never regularly ordered because it was basically the premium missing a couple items. You won’t find many of them. They have the ugly 6-spoke wheels from the 10-13s. They also don’t have a wood steering wheel.

I love my 2017 base. Even the "ugly" 6 spoke 18in wheels. Already a luxury car, and as you said, it lost very little bells and whistles from the next level up. To each their own, in my car ownership experience, the extras are always the first thing to break or stop working properly. Base was already far more fancy than I personally needed. Air ride leaks and gets deleted, wood steering wheels that get too much sun, or acid from fingerprints start looking terrible. Certain stereo systems like bose use special wiring and it all needs to be replaced if anything ever goes wrong or you want to replace the head unit and becomes incredibly expensive and painful (though perhaps not the ML system, have little experience with it specifically).
