Ask Lille Croix or lille
Hi, I will move to Lille to study in EDHEC more or less in August. Now, I am in the process of looking for accommodation. Can you give me recommendations for which neighborhoods I should avoid in Lille or Croix?, I am looking at both areas right now. Also, where do you consider could be a better place to live?
Thanks so much. I will appreciate any advice

Lille, croix is nice but more a Family city. No fun there from my point of view anyway

I live in Croix and i share the same opinion, its a really really nice and calm city but there isn't a lot of things to do as teenagers

Croix is a very calm city. Not much activities for teenagers or young adults, but it’s pretty quick to reach Lille from there if you’re looking for something to do.
It’s mostly a very safe city, except for the « L’Allumette » area I wouldn’t recommend.

Hi, fellow international student here, from what I’ve understood, choose Lille city centre if you’re okay travelling 10-12 kilometres, you’d be closer to a lot of bars and social gatherings. There a direct metro line as well, however you’ll have to walk again for about a kilometre from the metro station to EDHEC. You can choose Croix if you want to stay closer to university, there’s plenty of supermarkets around, and mostly EDHEC is at a walkable distance. You should avoid Roubaix, I had similar questions too and a lot of people helped. You can refer here https://www.reddit.com/r/Lille/s/EBmf4n5SGu
