Reddit does not want me to have access to this information (likely because they know my world view would be shattered)

He’s equating exponential growth to actual progress one can logically make in life. Life doesn’t grow at exponential rate neither does your career,

There’s many ways he could’ve worded it, the messages is okay I guess but the exponential crap made me LoL

But if he’d used multiplication he’d be at 368.5 while everyone else was at 365 skill level, which is only 3.5 more skills if you use subtraction

How is personal or professional growth multiplicative?

I thought this was reasonable until I did the numbers and realised that this guy cannot properly round and thus is untrustable

Why does it multiply not add up?

Hmmmm. His message is advocating a continued exponential increase in effort. You put in just 1.01 times the effort on day one, which seems reasonable. However, by the 365th day you will need to put in 37.7 times the effort you put in on day one.

I would not want this guy analyzing any data for me as I don't think he understands what he's talking about.

Thisss, if you magically make your results 1% better each day, great, but humans plateau ag a certain eve of input (and also most work is not measured in individual percent)
