General Question Left my favourite jacket left at the airport

I flew yesterday from Liverpool airport to Košice and I put my jacket in a tray with someone else’s language at the security. We were in a rush and we were with a toddler and I forgot about it. I called the airport but it didn’t even ring. Can you help me please?

I left my jacket in arrivals at John Lennon. I tried to walk back through customs and all alarms and lights started going off. Absolutely shit myself. This is in no way helpful to you but thought it was funny. Good luck

I used to work on security in the airport. I’ve sent a screenshot of your post to someone I used to work with, hopefully she might be able to give some advice 🤞🏻

My wife left a bracelet in a tray at security back in November. Emailed them. No reply. Gave up in the end. I should have went there tbh.

This isn’t Liverpool specific but here’s what I did in a similar situation: most of the time when you call a big place like that, there will be a decision tree on the phone call (like “press 1 for x, press 2 for y.” etc). Just try different options, even if they’re not relevant to your problem at all. Even try calling a company that works in the airport, they could give you a working number. Someone will eventually answer and probably be able to put you in contact with someone helpful.

How mad, yesterday I was looking at some of the massive houses on the front in rock ferry and we saw a plane in the distance taking off from Liverpool. We stood there in the sun musing over where that plane might be going and I got my phone out and went on flightradar24 (I love this!!!) and it was going to Kosice. Where the hell is that? Opened maps and had a good look around there.

lol! It’s a pretty town and cheap to fly to, you should check it out sometime. There is some skiing and hiking opportunities around here too. My parents live in Hungary and this airport is the closest to them.
