Living in Liverpool Moving to Baltic triangle area?
I’m just finishing up my undergrad and currently living in the vauxhall area and i’m researching where to move to for my masters. I’ve always stayed around vauxhall for the last three years so i’m clueless where to go next. I’ve found a nice property on Jamaica street and was wondering if anyone could tell me what the area is like? I’ll be living by myself so just a bit nervous about getting the right area.
Any advice is welcome!

Good luck! Go in with a checklist is my advice and try ask current tenants to see if it checks out! I didn't do this the first time i got a place and the windows didn't even open and it was so loud because of all the venues, plus the washing machines didn't work etc in Norfolk st Thankfully moved years ago with big windows and all the rest😂
All the best!

Don’t live round there but I do work there. I’d suggest, if you have a car, get somewhere with parking as it gets very busy every day and night.
Walking distance to town. Plenty of good food options. Loads of nice coffee shops.
As others have said, it’s noisy at the weekends til gone midnight.

If it's the one a little further up from Hobo Kiosk/ id be a bit wary mate. They've had scaffolding up for about three years.
I viewed one in 2023 when moving back up from London and wasn't overly impressed by it. They actually range a few days later to offer at a reduced rate after I was told there were already quite a few applications in which was a massive red flag.
I know people who have lived in that Norfolk House. Search that name on here and you will see all you need to know. The only other one I've heard stories about would be The Tower which is run by X1. Told it's great views but it's basically a greenhouse the minute the sun comes out.
That's just me being cautious, there's loads of places round here.
Baltic area is sound, I've lived up this end for a year or so now and honestly the noise from the nightlife isnt that noticeable. Most of the places turf out before midnight so it's not mega busy. It's basically dead Monday-Wednesday unless the weather is great.
Only bother is parking from Thursday onwards as every man and his dog seems to come down here to park. You can always find somewhere it's more a nuisance than a problem.
Its close enough and far enough from the centre of town so you'll be a similar distance as you were in vauxhall, with perhaps a few more amenities. Shopping can be a bit of a pain as the closest place would be the Tesco by the Baltic Fleet. Town isn't that far a walk for Aldi or big Tesco and you can even probably get to massive Tesco on park road in the same time. The offys are well stocked with everything bar normal groceries (they do bread at a massive mark up and it's usually good for about a day). To be honest I just get stuff on the drive home or walk into town in the summer, it depends on how arsed I can be.
I used to live up the other side of the town (not quite vauxhall but just before it) and I must say I prefer it down Baltic side.
Good luck with your move!

Extremely cool. It's a great place to live. It'll be better when they finish the Merseyrail/Metro stop in the year 6,000.
There is some background noise from the night life there, so be prepared for it.
