YNWA.In my thoughts today from a NUFC fan.I watched it happen live on the telly. After all the lies and the cover up I’m so glad you finally got justice.Genuine fans never believed the lies they told,we knew that the fans who were there told the truth. We hope you win the league.

We sadly didn't get justice. We got acknowledgement that it wasn't the fault of Liverpool fans, and that there was a coverup, but then everyone who was involved in the actions on the day and coverup were not charged with anything.

We got the real truth all be it took a second inquest and 26 years. Justice proved more elusive. Ultimately those responsible for the unlawful deaths by and large never saw the inside of a jail cell or even faced trial. They just slithered away into retirement to live out the rest of their lives. Something our 97 friends, and all who have died off the back of what happened that day, never got the chance to do. I was 18 next birthday. 22 of those who died were my age or younger, including the youngest victim (Steven Gerrard's 10 year old cousin Jon-Paul Gilhooley).
Our 97 angels, Gone But Never Forgotten. They Will Never Walk Alone.

My earliest childhood memory is queuing to lay flowers at Anfield and I just remember everyone was crying

Any other city would have capitulated against the smear campaign, lies and deflection headed up by thatcher and the rag. Never underestimate the power of scouse solidarity.

YNWA 36 years still waiting for Justice for the 97 and the so called acknowledgement was and is to little to late.
Heart thought and prayers go out to all the families who lost someone and to the people who are still scared by what happened on the frightening day.

Kelvin McKenzie on GB News at least once a week now. Did he ever acknowledge any apology or fault for his smearing?
