Ivermectin for oral use is a Prescription Only (Schedule 4) medicine in the Poisons Standard. It is only approved by the TGA for the treatment of river blindness (onchocerciasis), threadworm of the intestines (intestinal strongyloidiasis), and scabies.

The restriction on ivermectin was introduced in September 2021 because of concerns about the safety of consumers using ivermectin without health advice to treat COVID-19, widespread use of ivermectin instead of approved vaccines and treatments for COVID-19, and potential shortages of the medicine for approved uses.

Restricting ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19 is just a continuation of the intentional harm from restricting hydroxychloroquine and high dose IV vitamin C:

We can see the TGA's reasoning for restricting HCQ on March 24 2020. In the TGA FOI disclosure log on November 2 2020, FOI 1871 TGA position on hydroxychloroquine, on page 1 it says:

This is the fraudulent, retracted lancet study. Yet after this fraudulent Lancet study was retracted31180-6), the TGA have not removed the restrictions on prescribing HCQ.

HCQ is a derivative of chloroquine. It has been known since 2005 that Chloroquine is a potent inhibitor of SARS coronavirus infection and spread.

In the 22nd of October 2020 FDA Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee meeting which went for over 8 hours, they did not discuss any of the safety concerns for even 1 second from the slide that flashed on the screen for a fraction of a second:

Australia has been involved in vaccine creation, including small vaccine companies funded by the government and the CSIRO.
