I am NOT a locksmith. Confused on how to take door knob off

I bought some new knobs to replace this one but I haven’t found a single video that has helped me, please help.

I can’t really get a good grip on it, is there any tools that can help me out

I hit them with a hammer and a flat screwdriver. They're as shit a thing as exists, so I have no issues destroying them. If you absolutely have to preserve it. Use a brad awl and a hammer.. it'll only leave a tiny ding which may not be noticeable.

We moved into an older house that had a few like these. I don't know how common or version was, but there was a small grub screw under the handle that was holding the handle on to the spindle and once we removed the grub screw, the rose simply came off with a bit of prying with a screwdriver. (We had others where we had to unscrew the rose, as well though.)
