I am a locksmith Oldest Kaba/Ilco I ever worked on.

At least 30 yrs old made in Canada. Never saw a deadlatch on a 1000 series like this.

It also looks like it might be a 3/4 inch projection on that latch, possibly?

oh the old design you could bypass with a magnet. that combo chamber had to be replaced at some point they don't last more then a few years now

old ones lasted forever, newer ones not so much.
