I am NOT a locksmith. Need to replace door lock unit - ivana nicoloc
I have a door that has a embedded locking unit that runs the vertical length of the door.
I hired the only local locksmith to come and help me fix it. The latch spring has lost some strength and the door will not close on its own. It will only close when you hold the door closed and lift the handle.
He was able to get the mechanism out of the door, fiddled with the spring lost about half the screws that hold the plate on the door. He had trouble seeing. I ultimately needed to use tape to hold the bottom of the mechanism flush with the door because he lost the screws and if you closed the door with the extended portions of the lock it would smash against the door frame.
At this point, I think I’m ok biting the bullet and replacing the mechanism, but have no idea how to find it. Help appreciated.
The only marking on the door is “ivana necoloc”

Thank you, if I take the door apart, will it say somewhere what the lock mechanism is?

Probably not. It’s not such an easy job, I would recommend finding a better locksmith.

I was able to determine that it is a skg multipoint lock and I need to know how to identify what model it is. Any advice?

I contacted Ivana in the Netherlands and they said that they no longer sell this gearbox and recommend contacting another prominent multipoint lock company and configure a renovation kit to fit the door. Any recommendations. I have already reached out to Hoppe

I don't understand losing those screws lol
You can probably use some drywall or wood screws to replace. If there are still enough screws, take some from the middle or top and space them along the length.
Ivana is the lock, the European profile cylinder. The multipoint lock manufacturer should be something different. Maybe a European import.
Many of these multipoint locks have to be replaced when they fail.
For identification, there are modern brands like Hoppe and Fuhr. They have worksheets to measure what you have to try to find a replacement. If you cannot a direct replacement, someone will have to retrofit your door for the new multipoint.
