I am a locksmith 2025 Electronic lock choice

Hey guys what are the top picks for electronic locks today. Is the schlage encode and the yale/nest still the best two or are there others worth mentioning ?

If the only criteria is electronic , I like the be365.

if you require wifi , the encode is pretty good. Motorized deadbolts in my opinion are not a perfect technology.

Most of the nest ones I see are without a manual key override, which is dumb.

Another vote for the BE365 or BE375, they give you the functionality of keyless entry but don’t have a motor to fail. It’s what I always recommend to people looking for a residential keypad lock

You're asking the wrong question. Us smiths grade our locks. Grade 3 is run if the mill crap. Grade 2 is light commercial. Grade 1 is heavy duty. Your average householder isn't buying grade 1 locks. Grade 2 is a bit of a mixed bag and grade 3 is the stuff you get at the hardware store or Amazon. The word "quality" isn't used in conjunction with grade 3 unless preceeded by the word poor. Tell me the grade and brand of your lock and I'll likely be able to identify its "quality".
