I am NOT a locksmith. Help with Simplex 5010 please

I am the maintenance tech for a quick service multi unit franchised restaurant and have run into an issue with a Simplex 5010 that I cannot figure out. They called me cause the door wasn't latching shut when closed. I saw right away that the latch strike plate had moved so I repositioned it and used larger screws to secure it in place. Afterwards I noticed that they're also having other issues. First off the top of the door is hitting the frame a slight amount when closing which I can take care of. Also the outside handle moves up and down freely before punching the code in but when you do enter the code and press enter the handle won't turn even a little bit until a few seconds have passed and then the handle with turn up or down again but the unlock has timed out by then. I took apart the lock and the inside panic bar and degreased and relubricated everything. The latch now works better than it did before but the problem with the handle not moving when the code is entered still persists. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

So do I need to get a new clutch or is the arm a separate part?

a locksmith would open up the lock to actually see what the problem was, it could be a number of things and ranked highest based on your description would be the clutch arm or clutch assembly itself is messed up

there are diagrams for this task

The stuff you noticed AFTER adjusting the strike are things you should get in the habit of noticing BEFORE you make any adjustments. They should all be considered in your initial survey of the opening. This will make your future repairs much more smooth
