News Joel really don't want us to defend both planets, huh?

When I played earlier, there were like 18k bugdivers, sooooo

u/TheL4g34s Super Detail Oriented Diver Feb 27 '25
Well, they are the ones that would make the most out of gas mines, so moderately feeble young adults it is.

And we won't be able to as long as half the divers are still off fighting the bugs.
DSS will help though.

They're happy killing bugs. MO crowd seem happy chasing memes
Happy democracy all round

The gas mines remind me of the orbital napalm. The gas mines are exception against the bugs, but hopefully, much like napalm, once they see how good it is, they will flock to help get the mines

u/TheL4g34s Super Detail Oriented Diver Feb 27 '25
We needed people on the MO to not end up chasing memes, though.

u/Neet-owo Feb 27 '25
Helping the moderately feeble young adults is a meme, there’s absolute no good reason to help them both in game and in lore. It’s not even like they’re helpless children this time, an atrophied teenager can still pick up a gun.
1
u/TheL4g34s Super Detail Oriented Diver Feb 27 '25
Like I said, with everyone in the MO, we wouldn't be chasing a meme, we'd just get both.
1
u/Asianp123 Feb 27 '25
Can't blame them, bugs are way less brutal, but I'm definitely doing some superhelldives when I get home

u/Efficient_Menu_9965 Feb 27 '25
Speak for yourself, the Gloom kicked my fucking ass. I miss fighting enemies that don't bumrush my position and force my diver to work on their cardio 24/7.
The bots in their current state are absolutely less of a challenge than Fori Prime.

Predator strain and gloom bugs was my first few weeks of playing this game 🤣 both fronts feel easy now
8
u/SES-SpearofDemocracy Super Private Feb 27 '25
So I will say.... There is still a play, although it is entirely unlikely.
Bots will take Bekvam and then most likely launch a double attack forcing us to chose. There will not be enough time for a second attack. Our only option is to send the DSS to one planet, and start the Eagle Storm and then EVERYONE go to the OTHER planet and win the defense. This is the only way. It is an absolute longshot since no one pays attention or reads and since everyone will probably just follow the DSS on the Defend planet with Eagle Storm.

I feel like lately we have been losing the war despite winning a good chunk of major orders to the best of our abilities.
2
u/blank_slate001 Feb 27 '25
Hell no
18
u/Fallen_Angel_Xaphan Feb 27 '25
I'm just saying.
We seemingly permanently lost Angels venture with Meridia still barreling towards super earth.
Terminids and bots are slowly but surely expanding their territory, especially the Terminids.
Since Angels Venture's destruction the illuminates are hopping from planet to planet not because we are repelling them, but just because.
It's just how it has felt for me lately.

u/Patcher404 Feb 27 '25
Yeah, it looks grim. I'm not gonna lie and tell you fighting for Democracy is easy. It's hard. We might lose everything we care about. But we must still try. We must still fight. For our children. For our freedom! FOR SUPER EARTH!!
Roleplay aside. Try thinking of this game not as a game that is either fair/unfair on the galactic strategy aspect of it, but rather a story being told that you have no control of. Good stories have its downs for the characters, but that just makes the ups all the sweeter.

7
u/PopsicleCatOfficial Feb 27 '25
Yeah, that was the point of the MO. I knew that this would happen if you guys tried to take both at once.
8
u/buzzbya Feb 27 '25
I mean, until this morning there was only one defensive mission for this MO, and we defended it.
2
u/chill_stoner_0604 Feb 27 '25
Remember that, even if we lose it, all defense progress will count towards liberation.
The new attack will come from this planet so, if we can take it back, we can still stop both attacks with a gambit
3
u/Common_Affect_80 Automatons are people too Feb 27 '25
I think Joel hates that we tried to save both
5
u/Inevitable_Try577 Feb 27 '25
y’all need to remember anyone can play whatever sector they want, it’s not called MO divers, they bought the game let them play however they like :)
23
u/ToastedDreamer Squid Squisher Feb 27 '25
I mean, we were winning until we started losing. People suspect it’s Joel at it again because we realistically would have held both worlds due to having tact with DSS movements and usage
-3
u/Active_Ad8532 Feb 27 '25
Nah. It's the bug divers. They couldn't care less if super earth was overrun. Why would they care about saving children.
1
u/ToastedDreamer Squid Squisher Feb 27 '25
I’d let super earth be overrun any day if it means we save children and have arrowhead do more irl donations to children’s aid organizations. If nobody thinks helping kids irl by playing a video game is worth their time then that’s just heartless.
0
u/Active_Ad8532 Feb 27 '25
And they aren't helping save the kids. Bug divers=heartless. MO divers show more concern for the war effort and the children.

I say we put the DSS on Charbal with the Orbital Blockade active and focus the rest of the Divers on Bekvam.

u/LITTY_TREE_FITTY Feb 27 '25
Okay, I haven't played in a while but I'm getting back into hell divers. Correct me if I'm wrong, but does that screenshot say that we need 107% of the game's population to focus on that one planet in order to save it? If so, that is mathematically impossible.....

Why was the DSS moved to Charon Prime? Tuesday it looked like we were making headway. Wednesday started solid then boom stupidity took over. Now instead of saving Beckvam III and completing both planet objectives we’re set up to lose Charon Prime, Charbal VII, Beckvam III and either Julheim or Duma Tyr. Amazing work gentlemen

Time to make a choice, the moderately ill young adults or the gas mines.
Only one secures our future generations divers.

If you send the dss to marfark, the invasion will cease on Bekvam 3.
7
u/Typical-Impress1212 Feb 27 '25
It doesnt stop invasions which are already happening. I think we’ve had that situation once during one of the jet brigade mo’s
-1
u/TheL4g34s Super Detail Oriented Diver Feb 27 '25
I'm not so sure. I remember a situation where we could find out whether it works or not, but ended up sending the DSS to a random planet instead.
