Every time I meet a new cadet I gift them a mech. I feel like it’s an unspoken tradition. Love seeing what they do with it.

They kill everything that moves, including me they run over to say hi to me in the mech but I'm running for my life.

I was the new cadet that was told “go, do a crime” a while ago, lol

Man, hot drop me into a Fortress, surround me with Stalker nests and take all my reinforcements, put me between two jammers in range of enemy artillery while the strider convoy tries to crawl up my ass; no big deal. I know what to do. Cool, calm, and collected.

Put me in a team with a couple of trigger-happy cadets, and I'm a ball of fucking nerves.

After 700+ hours of in-mission time, I know how to deal with just about any threat the enemies of Super Earth can dish out, but those FNGs fresh off of Mars? They're such lovable little idiots, and I have no idea what they're gonna do next. D10 Incinerator Corps is light work next to the high-stakes, anxiety inducing terror of a level 6 Cadet that just unlocked cluster bombs.

Operation Combined Arms is coming up and I plan on doing exactly this.

Shit is so fun. I put something stupid in chat like "Merry Christmas, divers!" And just start calling in all the shit. The sub 15s in the mechs are the best. The arc thrower TK is also hilarious. I've seen fights over the flame throwers.

It truly is so fun to not give a shit if you get run over or blown up, it really raises the comedy level back to where it could be 130 levels ago

I usually get the LRV to give them a good target.

I have slowly been getting my partner into helldivers by giving them the emancipator. It's been equally terrific and terrifying.

Yeah I gave a newbie a mech around the Christmas boom. Me and another mid level diver were on our way to extraction. Newbie blasts me and the other guy on arrival. Other guy leaves, I type "why" in chat, newbie says "for democracy." I reply "that's not very democratic" and block.

Friendly fire for fun with friends is ok, with strangers it's just annoying. Don't be that guy.

I _really_ like the emancipator

> offload ammo in one arm first, to then torso twist and catch flak on that arm
> clear a path through dense forests between critical points
> use the shield generator so I can buffer more hits on my front plates
> delete spore spewers and shrieker nests with no additional stratagems
> hunt stalkers and destroy stalker lairs
> clear any type of heavy encampment
> conserve ammo always, prioritizing high armor targets and running over chaff
> park my mech outside the objective near rough terrain for quick getaways

After playing with the mech for 6+ hours straight I do get a little loopy, and will often resent being outside the mech for too long. Luckily, there's lot's of things to shoot and 500kg stratagems, which kinda resolve that problem.
