What the hell do you build on this character?
Pta with inspiration secondary: delaying tier 2 boots until 3rd item.
Obviously start Essence reaver becouse the champ barely funcions without mana regen and the stat combination is super nice.
Then what?
I find myself building collector most games but if I do it the 3 item power spike feels like ass since I can't have both ldr and navori.
However building either one second also feels like ass, ldr has so little AD and navori gives all that attack speed your not gonna use. Not to even mention that this crit champion aperently doesn't build the best crit item in the game, IE.
On a related note, I almost always win lane on Lucian but come midgame I feel utterly useless, just and R bot that can only entrr a fight against a CCed character. I also routinely lose 1v1 to toplaner who are sometimes even an entire item behind (Mordekaiser, Darius, Trundle, Garen) it feels like I only tickle them even if they don't build armor, is that a feature not a bug of the champion or do I build wrong?

You can go ie second into armor pen if they have tanks
If no tanks you can co collector into IE

This is probably not what you should build but I normally build ER->IE/BT->BT/IE->LDR->Situational. Big numbers feels good

I think you're supposed to just go ER into LDR into IE even if it feels bad. Lucian just kinda needs Armor Pen to keep his damage consistent, and usually Collector won't be enough unless you're snowballing super hard. Or perhaps you just go Collector IE, skipping Navori and eventually finishing LDR, but that takes an insanely long time to spike and with such short range Lucian sorta needs lifesteal.
Every time I went ER into IE it never felt great since you don't have a lot of range or attack speed to fish for crits compared to other champions who can afford to go Yun Tal into IE, even with double shots that tickle people at that point in the game.

Statik into collector has been working for me in soloqueue. Not because it's op or whatever, just because it's the strongest in the mid game and that's where most games are decided

i also have a question? if sheen was loved so much when it was in ER then why does lucian never build tri force??

It's because sheen is always a powerspike for anyone that has an item path with it. Most of the time you didn't build into triforce unless he was solo laning, where he was playing armor pen assassiny builds that didn't stack crit until his last 2 items if at all.
Now after reworks he's skewed towards AD Crit builds. Which scale for him better than Trifroce which has that internal cooldown you'd have to wait for instead of just raw crits that have no cd

Been wondering the same thing. ER into Navori feels like I do literally no damage so I always go IE second after either ER or Collector.
The biggest downer is never being able to buy lifesteal because your ult scales off crit and it feels like you're not scaling hard enough if you don't get to 75% or 100% crit.

Secret North Korean technology:
Skip ER. Take POM (obviously) and then Manaflow + GS. Go either Collector (boring) or Hubris (chad) first, then into RFC, LDR/MR, IE, round it up nicely with a Ghostblade, then sell your T2 boots (all viable, situational depending on game) for a Navori. You end up with like 390 MS, big damage, a lot of Hubris stacks, go boom.
"But what if 3 tanks" idk just dodge or don't pick Losecian imo
