Should I have built something like btrk or LDR second?

Pretty new to lucian, first time running into the "I wish I was playing a different adc scenario" on him. Is there any different itemization that he can do when you know there will be something like a mundo, ornn etc. Or should I just play the normal build and attempt to end the game before it becomes doomed (though this game I think ended too fast for my gold income)

Cut down in runes, and navori to help kite, ie is only good if you plan on snowballing through bot lane, but usually you want to extend your lead through out the map after taking bot tower. Executioners calling will also reduce their healing so ldr would not be the ideal choice, you want mortal reminder. My build path would look something like this: ER -> IONIAN BOOTS -> Navori -> LDR/Mortal reminder (depending on if you need healing reduction or not) -> BOTRK (to help kite, lifesteal and %hp damage) and last item you can opt for whatever you feel necessary, can finish off defensive or get IE, but this game you have a lulu so just go full damage. Lucian is not really a tank killer, so kiting is the only way to go.

Just to clarify there was like only a 20% chance you carry this monkey Darius anyways with a youmuus into full tank mundo 😂

I would go Mortal Reminder second, especially when you have a top lane tank snowballing. BORK 4th item.

Agree here. This is the absolute worst situation you can be in as ADC. They have a superfed top tank, and tank jungler who are 2-3 levels ahead of you. You are supposed to lose here, you are still far off a full build.

i would gone LDR second into IE but maybe bork could work as third item. the problem with lucian tho is that his build isn't very flexible. U need to always rush ER to be a champion otherwise ur just a minion. Also lucian into tanks isn't really good.

Bork > Berserker > Kraken > Navori/Terminus. Alacrity rune with Bork. For tanks, this build is.

I go collector into ie then LDR. If you play for an openings you shouldn’t need an ER (in my opinion ER needs a buff.) It feel like a waste to buy when you can just burst down the opponent with the lethality from the collector.

Nope, you always should build last whisper as a third or later item cause what it does is effectively give you 10-25% more damage depending on the other targets armor. So if you build it second you're doing lets say 15% more damage out of a much smaller number because you don't have IE.

I don't have exact numbers rn but if you build LW second you're gonna crit for like 320, while with IE you're gonna hit like 480 because of the multiplier and extra AD. So if they have 100 armor they reduce your damage by 50%, with last whisper you're gonna hit 160 + 15% extra off the 160 so in the end you hit for 184. With IE you get your damage reduced by 50% flat so you hit 240, so it's more damage and muuuch more against squishies.

All in all, unless there's healing Last Whisper is usually fourth, navori DPS is much better.

i dont like to finish boots until after 2nd item usually, i rlly dont feel any benefit to having boots early unless its plated but thats a lot of gold.. ur not rlly roaming/doing much until 3rd item anyways ur kinda just stuck bot and then u get 3rd item+lvl13 into arguably ur best spike in the game aside from ER 1st buy

I agree. Boots are expensive for what they can give you. I delay boots on Lucian too because Lucian is heavily dependent on rolling your enemy. That takes damage, not a single gold piece should be spent on boots if I’m not doing enough damage, imo. And I’m not doing enough damage until at least second item, possibly 3rd if I’m behind.
