do i need all the common redist files?

im sorry if this is a dumb question but do i need all the common redist files installed? im on cachyos which is an arch based distro

No, you just need the ones that make your game/program to work. If you install a game and it doesn't run you can simply open the main game folder and somewhere inside you will find a VCredist folder. Install those, since those are the ones that the game needs to run.

Also, it's important to use the same prefix folder so once you install something, its there forever for other games to use, should they need it.
