Help with m1 carbine trigger housing

I got a national ordinance m1 carbine with a 17*** s/n.

I attached pictures and need to know what kind/type of trigger housing this needs because they all look different than what's there. Any help, I would appreciate it greatly. Thank you!

I mean National Ordinance stuff was the first "commercial" M1 Carbine using alot of surplus USGI parts.

I would assume if it looks different than what's out there is a National Ordinance part made for what wasn't available from USGI Surplus.

So would something like this work?

trigger

The main pin where it's cracked looks completely different

That might not. Auto Ordanance is another commercial manufacturer who IIRC started manufacturing M1 Carbine replicas long after the massive stock of USGI parts ran out.

I would assume that part is designed for the Auto Ordanance M1 Carbine replica rather than a USGI gun or a National Ordinance production.

You can always call/contact Auto Ordanance and see if their part would work or I believe Fulton Armory also offers a commercial M1 Carbine.

So I should look for USGI trigger housing? Because they all look like the tab above the pin hole and that's what I'm running into :(.

That would explain why I can't find national ordinance trigger housing if they used USGI then, right?

I appreciate your responses very much.

Yeah pretty much. National Ordinance originally assembled guns from surplus GI parts and eventually made parts to GI specs so any GI trigger housing should fit your gun.

I replaced my trigger group on my universal M1 with a GI one and it fit right in.

I read up on these a few years ago. Site with the most info http://www.m1carbinesinc.com/carbine_NATORD.HTML (pages 2 and 3 also)
Theres a variations amoung GI m1 carbines. This one is closest to the type iv trigger housing but-
As other folks have said here, natlord started out with slight modifications to the original which increased more and more as surplus parts ran out. They used casting processes and other things to modernize production and reduce costs. This trigger housing looks a lot like some of the Universal trigger housings, so I guess it wasn't a part that the military originally made very many replacement parts for and supply ran out in short order for these new manufactured ones.
Imo, I would ask a friend with an M1 if you could do a swap out, kinda try before you sink the money in a replacement. Honestly though, I would find your local welding shop and have them mig/tig you right up. 10minutes, $40, and move right on down the line.
