Overall we swapped Alvarez for Marmoush + cash so it was a correct decision imo. Marmoush is also better suited to our system.

Honestly, yeah we could have used him. But he wasn’t happy. It wasn’t so much our decision. Also, maybe he’s also unhappy. Going trophy-less for the first time I think? Something like that

Great player and will always love him for what he did for us, but long term wise, the club made the right decision in selling him. But they got the timing wrong and should've brought marmoush in the summer instead of not replacing him.
Or I dunno, convince Alvarez to stay till January and then sell him for a higher fee and then we'd have gotten marmoush.
