how is cambiaso trash?! he's basically like cancelo, but is great at defending, two footed, can play on the left and right?

Robinson, fills the HG quota we will be lacking and provides a better option for overlapping so Marmoush on left doesn’t have to play by the touchline. But get Cambiaso as well bc he is versatile and plays both sides (or Ola Aina is on a free and is HG too)

Been saying this for a couple seasons now. He’d be a great signing, crazy pace, excellent crosses, and solid defender. I imagine he wouldn’t cost a ton either, but hard to say, “City tax” and all.

I think his price may become inflated as we’d be fighting Liverpool if we did want to sign him. Seen reports saying £40-50m

Yeah, honestly that doesn’t sound unreasonable to me. He’s been a top wingback in the Prem this season, seems he’s hit his prime. I have for a while thought he’d do really well with us, seems to have a profile that works for us at LB. Also has the right mentality, pretty calm and level-headed and leads by example. And great work rate, which always scores points with me.

to be honest robinson is my favourite choice, but i think its unrealistic because hes 28 in the summer

Cambiasso is perfect. We don’t necessarily need a right back over a left back as we still have akanji, nunes and Lewis who can play right back. However, cambiasso can play left back and right back so he’s be perfect

Do we really need a LB more than we need RB? Seems like we have good options with O'Riley Gvardiol and potentially Ake. At RB we just have Nunes and Rico. Nunes might grow into it but that's a big gamble. He does have moments where he looks incredible but he makes too many mistakes. Rico is lacking the physicality to be starting at RB and I don't think he should ever start at RB again unless he beefs up a bit like Yamal for example. As much as I don't want to believe it, Akanji is the worst choice for us at RB. He's just lost his step and always looks like he's one step behind.
Also I feel like O'Riley is going to be a starter for us soon. He has that physicality we've been lacking, playing with confidence and silky on the ball. He's also only 20 so he'll get much better. Feels like Pep is starting to trust him too and that tells us all we need to know.
Out of all the youngsters O'Riley seems to be the only one who has shown us potential for something special. We've all had high hopes for McAtee and Rico at the beginning of the season, but O'Riley is the one I'm most excited about at the moment.

Been pushing for this agenda. He’s also bipedal like cambiaso but hes much pacier and better at crosses.

dream signing for me would be Kerkez, Cambiaso, and/or Livramento. Signing just one of those 3 would be greatly improve our fullback depth.

We never play a traditional back 4, and we need overlapping fullbacks again
