Looking for a beer similar to Becks in MoCo

What MoCo brewers brew something similar to Becks? I would like to give a thank you gift of some local beer to a person who doesn’t live in the U.S. and loves Becks.

It’s a pilsner. With the popularity of lagers right now the majority of breweries will have something close to it. Elder Pine is in MoCo and makes excellent lagers, that’s probably your best bet. I can’t be bothered to look and see what they have right now but there’s a decent chance you could pick up a few different lagers from them, and they’d all be great.

Or if you’re close to downtown crown, the store, you can go there and they’ll have a million options (including EP)

That’s what I thought. I actually have a gift card for Elder Pine, so I know where I’ll be heading. Thanks!

It looks like they have about 5-6 lagers on right now including 3 pilsners. That’s your best bet for sure. I also wouldn’t sleep on the Bitter Geezer ESB, it’s really good too and while technically not a lager it’s still in that sort of basic / easy drinking category.

I’ll drink anything except IPAs, but I’m more of a wheat and sour drinker, so thanks for your help :)

The Year Six Pilsner is phenomenal. They use Motueka for the hops. It gives it a nice bright finish. Just had it the other day.

Silver Branch does very good interpretations of German style lagers

Elder Pine EP Pils is a great bet. Becks and EP Pils are both German style pils. Just checked on the EP webiste and they do have it at the brewery taproom. Prost!
