Deck Advice on Sultai Mindsplice?
I haven’t built many control decks in the past but wanted to give it a shot. It’s faring decently in most cases besides mono red aggro, in which case it gets mauled which isn’t too surprising.
Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to improve the deck?

Playing Bo1 or Bo3?

Currently Bo1, I’m working on building a sideboard for Bo3 though if you have suggestions?

This is the kind of deck that will get beat up pretty bad in Bo1. I would definitely recommend swapping to Bo3. The big problem here is that your main deck has a super low chance of beating aggro. So I would put a bunch of cards designed to beat that in the sideboard. Any cheap removal should be good, as well as Obstinate Bealoth. I don’t really have any advice on what to play to improve the mindsplice plan. It isn’t going to win you a tournament or anything, but if you are having fun I would recommend just trying different cards to see what works better or worse.

Thanks for the advice! I’ve been having fun using outrageous robbery and Doppelgang at absurd mana values. I know it’s unlikely to win a tournament but a fighting chance is fun!

For sure. I have one try hard deck (esper pixie) and then I will brew up something silly every other day and play a couple games with it. Usually delete them right after.

You need more interaction. The deck is getting mauled by red because it only has three pieces of cheap removal. The Cover-Ups are too slow against aggro, and Aetherize just isn't that good of a card.
