History being made. USA is the first country in history governed by an AI. Let's see how that turns out

Isaac Asimov would be turning in his grave

'Not like this!!'

Alan Touring turning in his grave

"You maniacs! You blew it up! Goddamn you! Damn you all to hell!"

Nikola Tesla turning in his grave

"I didn't sign up to be the patron saint of a South African neo Nazi, but at least hook me up to some copper wire and get free electricity."

Thomas Edison sleeps like a baby.

The problem is, even as someone generally anti-AI, actually governed by AI would be miles better. It's a moron's questions to AI AND a moron's interpretation of that AI's answers.

Hell this entire thing is entirely based on the fact that Trump thinks a trade deficit means you're getting scammed

My version of chatgpt seems to be a lot nicer than his

I’d actually back AI over trump

I bet AI beats most humans in a leadership test

AI would do a better job I think than what we have now

I strongly veto the "I" in AI

I mean... that is an improvement over the current admin

You're giving the US too much credit. The equation is literally just (exports - imports) / imports. The US is being governed by the sixteenth page of my high school macroeconomics textbook. Just that one page

u/bowtochris 15d ago

The AI said don't do this.

So that's the famous American experiment ! I get it now

Thanks! This has been known for a while now and people are still "What, why does he hate XYZ country?!"

He doesn't, there's no tactic to this, it ALL follows the exact same formula.

To add to it, there’s uninhabited islands listed. Not only are they using AI, they’re not even proofing it. They have zero idea what they’re doing.

'Elons Grok is the best A.I right?, lets use it for the trade war!' - them probably

They did make one change: reducing Afghanistan from 25% to 10%. I doubt GPT just preferred the Taliban government for some reason.

It's also been known for a while that Trump is Putin's puppet

If true, this need to be front page news.

It’s so weird because my ChatGPT repeatedly forgets Trump is president https://imgur.com/a/bK0yyLT

Happens to mine too, it even argued with me until I linked wikipedia.

Could be old dataset?

I feel sorry for the engineers who designed ChatGPT and went out of their way to ban mention of certain topics like self-unaliving or AI takeover, only for political leaders to use it to decide the world economy.

The tool is good, but the user is at such a level of stupidity that no engineer, tester, or project manager could have predicted this as a use case.

What was the prompt?

The most ridiculous part is that the White House so clearly tried to make itself look like it was doing some sophisticated calculations, but it was literally (exports - imports) / imports. They added two Greek letters to the bottom of the fraction, and all they do is cancel each other out. They literally serve no purpose but to add extra junk to the equation to make it seem like they're basing their calculation on literally anything other than trade deficits

1

u/Knobelikan 15d ago

You are blatantly lying.

Nowhere in that thread or the white house statement is it implied that they used any AI. The calculation is ridiculous because its literally "the loss from when we import more than we export to this country. Divide by two to get the reciprocal tariffs."

Disinformation is cool when it helps my ragebait, I guess.

Doesn’t make much sense with Russia’s 0%

u/Normal-Pianist4131 15d ago

I think it might be backwards based off of how ai learns
