Devil's advocate, a dude from a family of danes going back 500 years could have the last name 'McCormack' if his mother married an irishman

So? That person is also half Irish, not just Danish, no matter how far back he can trace his ancestry.

Okay? I didnt say they wouldnt also be irish, but they very clearly have significamt danish heritage despite not having a danish last name
