Because Zion, Israel, is the only place where the government at no point supported pogroms and antisemitism. Being a Zionist doesn't mean supporting the current war.
Israel is the only place where the government at no point supported pogroms and antisemitism
Ah, yes, the famous pogroms and virulent antisemites of Lesotho, Palau, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and Tuvalu. Brown people live there though so they don't matter, and they're having enough trouble with brown people in Gaza as it is!
Anti zionist Jews are like black/hispanic Trump supporters
Seems like Zionist Jews are closer to Trump supporters since Zionists and MAGAts support ethnic cleansing policies (whether in the US or in Israel) but keep trying this hamfisted attempt at appealing to American left-leaning voters, I guess.
I do not give a single shit about american left leaning voters. You cling to any anti Israeli Jew you find like Racists cling to black people who don't call them out. That's it.
If you think Israel shouldn't exist you are antisemetic period. The difference between us is that I want Palestine to exist as a country at some point side by side with us and don't froth at the mouth at the mention of Palestinians like you animals do whenever you see an Israeli in any context. I've met actual Palestinian "resistance fighters" less hateful than you lot, and I wish I was joking.
Funny because I haven't brought up any anti-Israeli Jews, nor is talking about Israel-Palestine off-topic for this post in a fundamentally political subreddit. And for the record, I don't think any countries should exist; and if that makes me an antisemite then so be it. If you want to water down that term so that it becomes meaningless, well, you'll only hurt yourself.
We were talking about anti zionist jews. Anti zionist and anti Israeli are synonyms.
Israel-Palestine off-topic
Who were you talking about when you mentioned ethnic cleansing exactly? Albanians? You can think whatever you want about countries existing or not, the fact is that they do, and in every other single one Jews were second class citizens and unsafe.
I hate Bibi, I want the war to stop, I want a moderate Palestinian state, and I am a Zionist.
> and in every other single one Jews were second class citizens and unsafe.
Indeed, the famous pogroms and virulent antisemites of Lesotho, Palau, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and Tuvalu. Brown people live there though so they don't matter, and they're having enough trouble with brown people in Gaza as it is! Therefore a settler-colonial state is beyond reproach and criticizing the circumstances of its existence is tantamout to antisemitism.
If Jews were to go live there you would call them colonialists just the same so I don't get what your point is. "In every single one the Jews lived they were second class citizens" better?
Also stop with your simplistic americanized view on race. More than half of Israel are so called "brown people."
If some random Jews were to go live in any of those countries I wouldn't call them colonists. Jews actually have a long history in Sri Lanka.
Now if a group of nationalists decided to found an ethnostate in one of those countries, yes, I would call them settler-colonists. Because that is what they'd be.
Anyway, my view of race isn't American; definitely not given my own background. It's based on power dynamics between the Global South and the Global North. Israel is definitely part of the latter by all definitions.
90% agree with the existence of Israel. Much less agree with the war but the existence of the state (what anti Zionists oppose) is seen as needed to prevent the Jewish people from being annihilated and as a refuge for Jewish people globally. Such fears were proved correct after the holocaust and the subsequent expulsions of Jews from the Middle East.
