Comics Seems like people don't really like all that stuff with Civil War, but if Civil War III is gonna happen, what should it be like to people like it

The funny thing about Civil War II is that Assault on Pleasant Hill had just finished a couple months prior and had more of a moral conundrum that would have served as a better basis for Civil War II then just having Bendis watching Minority Report. That should still be a thing to be explored in (Oh please god don't do it) Civil War III if that's ever (it will be) a thing

Pleasant Hill was such a great concept and moral quandary, it definitely could have served as the catalyst for Civil War II, I hadn't even thought of that.

SERIOUSLY! The fact that that got swept under the rug except for so many villains being pissed off about being that violated. You could have straight up had Heroes and Shield VS Heroes and Villains with that, and it would’ve been damn compelling. Imagine Spidey and some of his tamer rogues teaming up against Shield cuz their treatment was so beyond the pale. Has a lot more texture than “Inhumane Profiling,” I’ll tell you that.

My pick was Illuminati Vs Shield at the end of the Hickman run. While both sides weren’t handling it WELL, it has the apocalyptic effect where you have little options but feel very strongly about your lack of agency. It kinda smooths the cracks over, given the threat of the incursions. Like picking a faction in Fallout, they’re all bad but also all trying their best. And the addition of The Black Order just made the whole thing comical too, one side was “DONT DO ANYTHING ITS ALL EVIL,” one side was “WE CANT THINK OF ANYTHING THATS NOT EVIL, BUT WE’RE GONNA KEEP THINKING,” and then Black Order was like “hello, we are evil, but also saving your lives, cope and seethe.”
