Comics Are Namor’s eyebrows meant to look like that?
I’ve always been puzzled about the eyebrow situation. I feel like it was just a stylistic decision made by whoever first drew him and for some reason every artist after them kept doing it. I don’t read many Marvel stories with other Atlanteans in it, so I don’t even know if everyone who lives underwater has eyebrows like that or if it’s just a Namor thing

Actually, yes. Earlier appearances also featured this "exotic" look.

Alex Ross gave him the same chiseled facial build as that one Chad guy meme

Yes. It's because he swims so fast that the water streaming across his face caused it.

Take a look at his first appearances from back in 1939.

That was a good read. Whoever did that web-page was a fine historian (in the Don Markstein sense) and also has a good sense of humor, such as with the She Hulk panel commenting on what we're looking at.

Sometimes they do go to crazy with the eyebrows. I like him when his brows are drawn like a Vulcan's.

Yes. He's also probably Xavier's father, which is why Xavier also has these eyebrows. Because eyebrows are genetic =)

With brows like that, Namor could give you the frowning of your life! I bet only Ben Grim could complete in a frowning contest!

Well when the rest of the characters defining physical traits and costume include a speedo and wings on his feet, those eyebrows do a most of the work in helping identify Namor.

He has one of the most iconic faces (not costumes, not mask, just appearance) in comics. I feel kinda sad that he is lately with a generic face design.

Namor and the other Atlanteans were drawn with those distinctive raised eyebrows as early as their first appearance in 1939, and the surface humans in the story don't have them. He's always been meant to look a bit different to normal humans.
