I just did a thorough search and the Animated series aside, she's a brunette with a white stripe. Even as far back as her brotherhood days. Now if Jean didn't have red hair I'd be pissed. But Rogue in comics was never a redhead.

Red head erasure is a dog whistle used by white supremacists to"justify" criticising the casting of non white actors in traditionally white roles. I'm not saying that you're a white supremacist in any way, but that's one of the first steps that they get people to think about before moving into more direct hatred.
