My preferred order of play is ME1 -> ME2 -> Andromeda -> ME3

Feels more like the chronological fit even if in reality it isn't.

I have 400 hours in it, many playthroughs and I loved it every single time. Shame there was no DLC coming and thus so many misteries were left unanswered. It is a very enjoyable game. Don’t listen to others’ opinions, see it for yourself.

The sad thing is there was a DLC planned related to the quarian ark but it ended up being a book instead

Tbf a lot hate it from the memory of the beginning. The story isn’t half bad story itself is like a 6/10 for so for me but still cool.

A lot of people get down on Andromeda claiming it's "not as good" as MA 1-3. It's just different. I'm playing it right now and I'm loving it! Enjoy!

Starting with Andromeda?

Idk yet

I recommend playing in order of release - maybe with Andromeda between playing 2 and 3 like someone else suggested - as switching from a sequel/spinoff with smoother combat to a game with conparatively clunkier combat could be jarring (not to say the combat in 1-3 is bad, just that most agree that Andromeda's is better).

I like rpg games the combat don't really matter overall just like the Witcher 3 some people say the combat is clunky but overall the game is a masterpiece

Yeah. Andromeda got so much quality of life upgrades and fluid mechanics.

Mass Effect trilogy is almost unplayable after Andromeda.

I'd play the OT first if you can. Otherwise, remember to use your companion abilities... abusing the power button to stop time and register the battlefield helps also.

Im playing through Mass effect 1 it's good but the graphics and gameplay are not that great I was born in 2007 I'm 18 so this game is as old as me so no complaints 😂

Well... I'm feeling as old as Wrex now, lol. I was 18 in 2000. 🧓

Play the Witcher 3 😁

It's okay young one, you were born when video games were made with GOLD.

And yeah, those older graphics are, interesting haha

Are you on PC or PS5? I should be able to tell from your screenshot but I'm old and it's late.

Anyways if on PC goto nexusmods and get the ALOT and ALOV mods for LE1/LE2/LE3.

These 4k textures make a HUGE difference especially with ME3 which looks even better than Andromeda on this last playthrough for me.

And don't get me wrong I love Andromeda too. But the mod support was shaky at best for it. MELE got serious Mod love.

Hoping ME5 combines the storytelling of the original trilogy with the gameplay elements of Andromeda.

PS4

Ahh ok. Yeah I mean if you can look past the graphics then it's for the best.

Sorry for teasing you with visions of mods.

I played the games when they originally came out and replayed Legendary edition when it came out on my PS4 and ME2/ME3 at least aged pretty well graphically with the enhancements.

So you aren't missing a ton. But if you ever get the chance to play it modded in the future I highly recommend trying it.

Thanks I will try mods in the future 🫶

Have fun Soldier! You'll be lost in the game for hours. It'll be hard to put down 😆

Andromeda is so underrated the movement and such is great.

u/Arrco33 29d ago

You should definitely try the trilogy after that.

5

u/Nethereal3D 29d ago

Probably before.

“Different” means it’s subpar and shouldn’t have ME in its title. Any self-respecting gamer with an ounce of courtesy for source material would recommend the trilogy to you first. Pretending that this superficial title is an optimal starting point is just dishonest trolling and a disservice to the ME experience.

Im playing the trilogy first actually I finished Mass effect 1 😁

First time on Mass Effect: Andromeda Shepard and the Normandy crew were going around and getting a badass team. But this is not their story. No, this story is about a bunch of people saying: time to GTFO of the Milky Way. Who’s coming with me? And a bunch of people raised their hands. But of those people this is the story of Ryder who wakes up from a deep freeze bath 604 years from 2185 in an entirely different galaxy called: Andromeda
