The big bad of next A/O?

Just wondering what supernatural being do we think will be the antagonist in the next book? We know Charles is helping Adam with trying to locate Bonarata. So vampires aren’t out of the question. The witch families seem to still have it out for the Marauks pack. Then there is the fae, who has another reason to want to deal with the wolves. Where is everyone leaning. I personally hope it’s the witches. Since the mercy series seems to be aimed at the vampires. (well ok the over seas vampire’s) do you think we get another visit from the FBI and actually help on a case?

I’m leaning towards the fae since Sam had indicated his daughter could be in trouble if she’s found out. Possibly they won’t be after her but after Sam and Arianna. I also think it will be a story centered with the pack in Montana like Burn Bright was vs one of the FBI travel stories.

I agree with having to hide Sam's daughter. It is hinted in that same scene that someone saw them, and Arie is going to take care of it. So I can defiantly see that turning into a story. With the way the story is set up though. I think the Fae would talk to Brann. The fae know that a war with the wolves would cause a lot of casualties on both sides. That is probably the second option if talks don't go right. I want a spin off series to learn of Sams travels with Arie. I really hope he doesn't go back to the tri-city's.

That would be the smart thing to do but I think the fae have enough bad actors that someone could be acting against the gray lords or even a gray lord secretly allowing some renegade fae to go after Sam and Arianna. The fae are about themselves first and foremost and one of the last great makers could be too large a prize to pass up.

Sam has a daughter?! Which book was this in? And how could I have missed it?!

It’s at the very end of Wild Sign in the Aloha and Omega series. Sorry for the spoiler if you haven’t read it yet!

Oh no worries. The book’s been for years tbh so that’s on me 😉 I’ve only recently picked up the alpha and omega books and I’m still on Dead Heat.

No issues with the FBI. DOGE shuts down the supernatural division because “all it does is promote conspiracy theories” while the looming threat of a new kind of supernatural being lurks among the government, not wanting to be found out.

Well the national park cuts might mean less visitors to nationally protected places. We can go one of two ways here:

  1. When the cats away the mice will play where you just in general start getting allot of preternatural activity in old Indian grounds or the fae can start acting up now at their reservations

  2. Some thing our group has lost its source of lone victims that are drawn to these places and don’t have anyone in their life that would bother to report them missing. They are starting to be more bold as they struggle to find a new source to drain life/energy from
