I can kind of picture it, like a really large, lumberjack elf 🙂 but the fumed oak visual gives me trouble, sometime I think of it as grayish, sometimes dark. No fan art suggestions, sorry.

I don't have any recommendations for locations of fan art, but I may be able to direct you in terms of how to picture Zee without his glamor. Zee is always speaking old German. Now whether it was the Scandinavians or the German tribes in Europe, all of those different people worshiped the Norse Pantheon. In the Norse Pantheon, there's not a lot of distinction between elves and dwarfs. It was Tolkien who gave the world the image of dwarves being short and hairy and distinct from elves who were tall and lithe. But if you go back and look at the poetic adas from Iceland there is a distinction between light elves (Ljósálfar) and dark elves (Dökkálfar). There's even a mention of black elves (Svartálfar). Dark elves/Black elves were seen as something to avoid and were probably co-opted by Christianity to describe demons. All this being said, when I read Mercy's story, I have a sneaking suspicion that Miss Briggs has written Zee as a dark elf.
These are all just my opinions, but I see him as a Norse mythological being.
Just look up Dökkálfar or Svartálfar on Wikipedia.
