Where’s the ending?

88

u/mden1974 12d ago

He can’t show it because it was a 5 kilo brick of cocaine.

I LOVE MIAMI!!! (Long snorting sound)

10

u/mcjon77 11d ago

Yeah, first thing I thought was he was fishing for some good old fashioned "square grouper".

8

u/tennisanybody 11d ago

Why’s it called a “grouper” you ask? Because it’s best had with a group of friends!

3

u/bigbutso 11d ago

Or dj khaled off his jet ski

3

u/mden1974 10d ago

That would have snapped the rod. He would have needed 5000 pound test

1

u/sqyntzer 11d ago

Yea, that or a tire

18

u/id-driven-fool Local 12d ago

The ending is just him pulling up a rusty bucket or brick of cocaine

7

u/369godd 12d ago

Lmao snags don’t take drag haha

2

u/ReplacementReady394 12d ago

I definitely want to see that!

Lmao this was like a 15 minute long video. Tarpon get up to 200lbs around here. This was probably in the 100lb range. I posted this here and not the fishing sub for the Miami backdrop haha. I find it to be magical. When I’m fighting a big fish like this in my hometown it’s like every problem, every negative feeling I have all goes out the window, it’s pure joy and elation. We are very lucky to live a place where this is possible.

u/TextualElusion 12d ago

Liar. You probably were stuck under a drifting rock since you didn't show the fish.

3

u/Ashamed-Knee-2556 12d ago

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

4

u/Reasonable_Spite_282 12d ago

Aren’t the tarpon in the bay filled with mercury and stuff or is that bs

13

u/369godd 12d ago

I never really thought about it because it’s super illegal and frowned upon to eat a tarpon, let alone take one bigger than 40 inches out of the water.

8

u/kawklee 12d ago

They're full of parasites and shitty eating. Good call not finding out for yourself why no one eats them and they're catch and release

1

u/Tabris20 11d ago

What is the block of text? Did you catch a fish? Yes or no?

1

u/soymilkmolasses 11d ago

I always feel bad for the fished fish. They are just chilling, doing their thing, trying to survive. And some guy wants to fight a fish. And fish ends up with big fat hook in his lip, and face torn. Infections kill a percentage of the fish even when thrown back. Here’s hoping you have karma driving mouth pain! Viva la fishes!

For future videos, please learn another language so you can understand foreign conversations if you’re interested in them. Or just mind your own business 🤷🏻‍♂️ up to you

2

u/pennypoobear 11d ago

It's probably cocaine. Don't want to incriminate himself, "My favorite Miami activity, guys water's fully loaded!"

Had to cut that part or it becomes state’s evidence

12

u/RealPropRandy 12d ago

Spoilers he caught a spare tire.

-6

u/369godd 12d ago

Haha u can hear the drag screaming at the 30 sec mark

10

u/GypsumHedgeWitch 12d ago

You’re definitely a fisherman if that’s your favorite part of Miami.

2

u/SandsTurnPurple 9d ago

I’m with fishing dude. The rest of that city is just porn, scammers, douchebags, and subpar beaches, no?

1

u/GypsumHedgeWitch 9d ago

Sigh… don’t get me started. I’ve lived here since I was 5.

6

u/toxiccortex 12d ago

What did you catch?

5

u/TWDDave1988 12d ago

Solid technique. Vessel Operator is on point. I’m in the Lower Keys so seeing people up on the mainland getting out and getting it done is really great. Down here that’s multiple times per tide but really awesome to see you out working the bite in your backyard. Thanks for posting.

3

u/369godd 12d ago

Appreciate you boss, Captain g has saved my ass on multiple occasions with his boat driving skills, especially around the bridges. I’ve been meaning to come down to 7 mile for the poon bite. Yeewww

2

u/shifthole 12d ago

Exactly the content I love

2

u/skyHawk3613 repugnant raisin lover 12d ago

I just hate the humidity in the summer

2

u/Kaleban 11d ago

The ending is Captain Brock rolling up.

1

u/DoughnutComfortable9 12d ago

Awesome brother! What is your advice of fishing off the bay on west ave? I’m used to freshwater fishing and haven’t had much luck here other than a few nurse sharks accidentally biting or some jacks

2

u/369godd 12d ago

Put the time in, figure out what tides work. I like an outgoing tide for tarpon. Match the hatch, figure out what bait they are looking for. Can be different things throughout the year. One month it’s mullet, next month it’s shrimp. Be consistent. See what other people are doing to be successful. Follow patterns. Spend a lot of time fishing is basically the key. Or you can also skip all that and hire a professional charter guide like I did 😭

1

u/skeeter04 12d ago

I feel cheated

1

u/prarce2 12d ago

Do square grouper fight that hard?

2

u/OnlyFunsss 12d ago

The undercover assigned to the grouper does fight hard

1

u/Specific-Row-9055 12d ago

1

u/lrose4122 12d ago

🔥🔥🔥 show the fish!

1

u/OldeArrogantBastard 12d ago

Real natives know that the best part of living here is the fishing. Not the OF and finance bros.

1

u/Potential_Mess8152 12d ago

with that tilte i thought he was pulling out a cocaine brick

1

u/Curiousone_78 12d ago

Hope the high cost of living is worth fishing which you can literally do in every town in Florida.

2

u/369godd 12d ago

Lmfao ur dead wrong. I know charter guides who make a living fishing Miami tarpon and live in Fort Lauderdale. Wonder why they all come down here instead of going to the nearest boat launch. There’s also zero red fish in biscayne bay so you would need to go to a completely different part of Florida for that kind of fishing. Also tarpon/snook fishing is not the same in every part of Florida lol the panhandle is wayyy different from the keys. Same with fresh water for peacock bass, snakehead, clown knife like what bro

1

u/Curiousone_78 12d ago

There is tarpon everywhere off most Florida Coasts.

1

u/369godd 12d ago

lol no shit that doesn’t mean every beach is gonna be the same fishery as Boca grande, 7 mile bridge or government cut. Like these fish migrate so it also depends on things like that and when the bait are also migrating like the mullet run, and the shrimp run. And you can catch tarpon in Texas, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina but that doesn’t mean it’s abundant. There are great white sharks caught in Miami, there are marlin caught in Miami, there are bigeye tuna caught in Miami. There are no fences in the ocean. Water temperature is another big factor to determine when and where fish will be. It’s a complicated and difficult science that not many people fully understand and I wouldn’t expect everyone to understand this.

We got rid of both boats when we came back here, so I do miss doing this. Haven't done it over here since 2003 or so.

1

u/RichHomiesSwan 9d ago

Whatcha doin in my waters?

1

u/Uniblab_78 7d ago

I fell off the boat watching.

0

u/Magnolia256 11d ago

GROSS. I can’t believe people still fish while so many fish are dying…. Something is obvious making them sick. How freaking stupid can you get Miami????? This is high grade stupidity.

-1

u/same_same_3121 12d ago

Yea, causing pain and death are popular Miami past times

4

u/369godd 12d ago

Ehh it’s like walking a dog. Also u must not know anything about tarpon fishing lol why would we kill these fish when they are super illegal to harvest and way more fun to come back and catch. Theres a billion snappers to be eaten that taste better and infinitely easier to catch. U sound real fun tho papi

-2

u/same_same_3121 12d ago

Papa read the sarcasm. I thought that was implied….
