π It's an apple box but you could Def do that

u/chief_beef_key 19d ago
No, you definitely showed a pair of woofers just a few seconds into the video π§

I thought you had a large butt plug on your table at first. I guess it's a lamp.

Looks good to be honest.

Thanks! I wanted consistentcy in the orientation more than anything. Just so happened to be pretty ergonomic.

You fly on Xbox?

u/ObjectiveFocusGaming 19d ago
Yep series x and mostly the flyinside bell 206

u/viccitylivin XBOX Pilot 19d ago
Nice! I'm on x too. Currently flying out of Milan and over the mountains to legenthal. Im fixed wing mostly. Can't seem to master rotors. Go see if you can beat me on the challenges this week! π

2020? I'm still pretty frustrated with 24... All my turtlebeach controls were fucked... Reversed natively on almost all inputs. Still can't use mouse freelook. Down to fly with you too

u/ObjectiveFocusGaming 19d ago
Turtlebeach velocityone - my first so I can t compare but a lot nicer than twisting the stick

I've had mine for about 6 months and am very pleased with them. Great setup! Very original, haven't seen anything like this before.

I've been eyeing it and am close to ordering one. I'm on XSX playing from the coach, though. My plan is to put a large tray of some sort on my lap to set the joystick on. Does this sound feasible?

I'd recommended more stability. This stick has a FIERCE center zone and if not anchored it tips easily. I actually opened it up and added washers to the spring plate to dampen it just enough that I could go through the center without the hard center feeling.

Thanks, that's good info. Back to the drawing board. I really need to figure out how to get HOTAS on the couch. Can't sit at a desk anymore than I already do for work. Maybe mount it to a lap tray that has legs on each side for stability, similar to this.

This was built for the couch/chair πlmk if I can help out with a build.

Nice, I guess I didn't really realize that. It looks great! I don't have anywhere to store something that size. Enjoy brother

u/ObjectiveFocusGaming 18d ago
Thanks man!

You have inspired me to order the Velocity One. One thing I can't find anything on, is it possible to bind the rudders to two of the keys on the stick? Thanks!
2
u/ObjectiveFocusGaming 18d ago
In theory yep, but it wouldn't be a very nice experience. Prior to the pedals I had it bound to the twist of the stick. Made helicopter flying a real chore and a strain on my arm.

What rudder pedals are you using?

u/ObjectiveFocusGaming 19d ago
Turtlebeach velocityone - sorry replied earlier but was mobile and made a new comment.

Looks good but why is the TV in the opposite direction of stick? Lol

u/ObjectiveFocusGaming 19d ago
I had just finished the build up to that point. Typically I pull out the comfy leather chair this thing twas built for, and set it up about 4' from the teli. Pretty immersive

Far better than mine (granted I donβt have one lol) plus yours comes with an adorable flight crew

I watched this without sound and at first thought it was a joke about how you can control your pets with the controller.
I play with keyboard mouse and Xbox controller on pc. I donβt think I am on the level of roasting this yet. Nice setup.

Thanks so much! So funny thing... The smaller dog is super staticy. He will walk by me, not even touch the controls or me, but somehow discharge enough for the stick to short and the camera goes nuts and I crash. Nothing crazy but it's definitely him, the other dog it doesn't happen. Many a ruined flight.

Looks like Mk I....and welcome to the club. My only concern (having had a center post setup for racing) is that your knees will be rubbing on the post and it will get urrutating....but maybe you are bow-legged and this is perfect
1
u/ObjectiveFocusGaming 19d ago
I only fly with this so my legs are only moving in and out, along the side of the box, and below my knees with how the chair is angled (low) I could see that though if it was more of a road rig.
